Joel Bowden is a tall, hard running midfielder who possesses one of the best left foots in the game and is considered a prospective future captain of Richmond. He was recruited by Richmond under the father / son rule in 1995, his father Michael having been a premiership player with the Tigers in 1969. Joel was a Norwich Rising Star nominee in 1997. He is currently one of the most consistent and reliable players in the team. In 2003 he, once again, didn’t miss a game for the season, amassing 481 disposals (ranked second at the Club) and 128 marks. He is amongst his sides most reliable shots for goal.
