Kevin has been practicing as a financial planner since December 1986. He was Victorian State Manager of Monitor Money Corporation for nine years before leaving in 1996 to establish the Money Managers Ltd, a ‘Fee for Service’ Advisory organization and Licensed Securities Dealer. In November 2008 The Money Managers merged with Shadforth Financial Group and became a wholly owned subsidiary business.

Kevin is a Certified Financial Planner and is a former Director of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He received a Distinguished Service Award in 2002 and he was made a Fellow of the FPA in May 2005. He currently sits on the Conduct Review Commission and the Professional Conduct Committee for the FPA. He was awarded the Financial Planner of the Year in 1998 and was the highest rated premier adviser with independent ratings agency “Advisor Ratings” for 2003 and 2004.

The Federal Government appointed Kevin to the National Advisory Committee on Ageing between 2001 and 2004 and he has given evidence before a Senate Select Committee into fees and commissions in the financial planning industry. He has been a member of the Melbourne chapter of ASIC’s Business Consultative Panel. He has acted as an expert witness in a number of cases in his capacity as a financial planner.

Kevin has written two books on Finance and Investment, ‘Your Money Guide’ and ‘Money Guide 2’. He has presented radio talkback programs for both the ABC and 3AW in Melbourne and regional Victoria. He has written a weekly finance column for the Herald Sun newspaper for over ten years between 1998 and 2009 as well as having contributed to numerous journals and magazines in the investment industry. He has spoken around the world on financial matters as well as on the subjects of business and leadership. He is represented by Saxton Speakers Bureau.

Kevin is very involved in community issues. He has been the Honorary Consul General for East Timor since independence in 2002. He runs a Consulate for East Timor in Melbourne in addition to his duties in the Shadforth Group. He is a director of the Investment Advisory Board of the Sovereign Wealth Fund of East Timor which manages in excess of $5 Billion from their Petroleum Resources. He is a Director of Action Aid Australia and is active in providing aid to East Timor through a number of organizations. He is the patron of Life, Love and Health, a charity established to support women and children in East Timor. He is married with seven children.
