This year marked the launch of a partnership between Saxton Speakers and Get Global.

Get Global is an annual one-day event which brings the industry together on an international scale to give buyers and exhibitors the opportunity to meet with the right contacts and build their network globally.

Saxton Speakers sponsored the Get Smart Zone at the event and after in depth consulting and collaboration with organisers, Gary and Donna Kessel, produced an outstanding speaker line up that engaged and delighted attendees throughout the day.

A huge thank you to Get Global and O'Neill Photographics for the images supplied from the day.

Best selling author, health and wellness expert, and Celebrity Trainer Michelle Bridges kicked off the day in front of a full house. Michelle got the crowd energised with some early morning squats before launching into an insightful and inspirational presentation on 'Who You Can Be.'

Felicity Furey is an award winning inspirational speaker, entrepreneur, leader and engineer passionate about diversity. Felicity unpacked what leadership looks like in today's world, particularly when it comes to millenials, and answered two key questions:

How will we lead them? and How will they lead us?

Dr Janine Garner is a global thought leader on powerful networking, collaboration and unleashing leadership brilliance. Janine reminded attendees of the importance of staying connected through social, authentic meetings and provided insight on how to expand and manage networks.

Curtis McGrath is a champion athlete, decorated veteran and media commentator. Curtis shared the story of the day his life changed forever. At 24 and two months into a tour of Taliban-rife areas of Afghanistan he stepped on a homemade landmine and tragically lost both legs in the blast.

Thirty minutes after the incident, fully aware of his grim situation, he joked with his rescuers about becoming a Paralympian.

By 2016 had won a gold medal at the Rio Paralympic Games.

Curtis' story of resilience and the power of mindset had attendees in tears - a true story of triumph over tragedy.

One of Australia's leading strategists and storytellers (and co-founder of Four Pillars Gin), Matt Jones, closed the day's program with his presentation In Craft We Trust. Matt explored the Four Pillars Gin story and unpacked the importance of finding your purpose, creating remarkable customer experiences, and how to highlight your 'craft.'

After Matt's presentation attendees hit the cocktail networking event to sample Australia's number one selling craft gin for themselves.
